Transformation of a hospital in Uherské Hradiště

The main goal of the change was to integrate the former hospital complex into the the city organism and to fill it with the diverse functions of a mixed urban area. THE GOAL

The aim of the urban design was to transform the vaguely defined structure of the former hospital into a clear, clearly articulated urban structure. At the same time we wanted to preserve the fresh and aerated character of the original First Republic area, ie. use the original low-rise buildings and high-quality greenery. Therefore, we were working with a minimum of interventions. The proposed spatial concept should fulfill the natural human needs of orientation and identification with the urban environment.
